In 2010, we embarked on a big adventure – making videos of our projects and products for the web! Our first ever Chrome Time webisode was also the first of a series of videos about Shmuel Valency’s Kenworth W900L, which we chromed up before it was put on a ship to travel home to Israel. In this video, we show off some of the first lights that we added to the truck.
Pearl Amber/Red square LED double-face turn signal light – $59.99 each
These bright turn signal lights, from Grand General, were the perfect fit for this truck. One important aspect of LED lights is that they need to look good when they’re off, as well as when they’re on. The Pearl theme used by GG is simple, clean, and gorgeous. We would go on to compliment these lights with the 4″ round style on the mirrors.
Maxxima amber 2″ round 6 diode LED marker/clearance light – SINGLE – $6.99 each
Maxxima red 2″ round 6 diode LED marker/clearance light – SINGLE – $6.99
These two-inch round LED lights were a no-brainer for Mr. Valency’s air cleaner brackets. Once again, these are an LED light that compliments the aesthetics of the truck, even when they aren’t lit. As you can see in the video, their 6 diodes are very powerful and they’re a high quality light as well.
2″ round “Stealth” chrome plastic screwless twist-on grommet cover light bezel without visor – $2.49 each
Around those 2″ round lights, we installed these chrome grommet covers. These revolutionary screwless bezels have been flying off the shelves since the moment we introduced them. People love these grommet covers because they do away with those horrible tiny screws that are impossible to keep up with. Plus, they lay flat against the stainless steel light panel, which was tough to achieve with the older versions. Additionally, this is a more durable style bezel. You’ll have to drive pretty fast to get these to fly off in the wind!
54 diode LED auxiliary light for 13″ or 15″ diameter air cleaner cans – SINGLE, tape mount – $49.99 each
One of 2010’s biggest trends has been adding lights inside the air cleaner can. These star light trims are a more expensive option that our great deal option, but they create more of a glowing effect. Plus, they come in Green, Red, and Blue, as well as classic Amber. Each light is backed with double-stick tape, so they stick to the top of the can for quick installation.
Chrome plastic dual rectangular headlight bezel w/visor and amber LED marker/clearance/turn signal light – SINGLE – $32.99
Lastly, we featured another of 2010’s hot products, this headlight visor with a built-in turn signal. This piece is really easy to install and wire into your existing headlight turn signal. As you can see in the video, they are a bright LED light and the chrome surround looks fantastic as well.
