You can tell that a driver is dedicated to LED lights when he or she has LED backup lights on the truck. White LEDs are notoriously expensive, due to their unique manufacturing process. While incandescent light naturally appears white, and must have color added to it, LED light contains all of the colors of the spectrum and must have the color removed in order to appear white.
However, the result is bright, pure light. And as you probably already know, LED lights don’t burn out as easily as incandescent lights. You don’t have to worry about fragile glass bulbs breaking as the truck bounces down the road, either.
Traditionally, white LEDs have been relegated to boring jobs like reverse lights or interior accent lighting. This year, several of our manufacturers made huge strides in bringing LED lighting to all parts of the truck, including LED headlights and smooth, flat panel dome lighting.
